Yeah, errr... What exactly were you doing with these? I'm pretty sure there are strict rules about handling these things professionally.

I was taking them off a belt and stacking them in a truck; and yes, I professionally handle freight for a living.

That's a superpower right? It gives you the power to become a murderous drug king pin? TV told me too.

Well your hair will fall out and you will feel like shit for a few months, then you die. So... no, it's pretty bad.

Aha. I did some research and it seems Gammaster makes pallet iradiators used n sterilizing medical equipment and such (They'll just send entire pallets of product through the machine I guess)
I got concerned because I've been trained to be highly suspicious of stuff like this when you work on cars. I remember a story about a client who was a doctor and for fun(or convenience) he used a box marked with all kinds of viral and disease danger warnings on it to keep bric-a-brac in in his car. Needless to say people were frightened (and righly so) and all hell broke lose about it. Some stuff you just don't mess with without being sure, you know?

Would you say that it's.... breaking bad?
But in all seriousness, yes, I aware of plight of cancer patients; in fact since I spent the first 18 years of my life living within 100m of high voltage transmission towers; have continually smoked various substances for the last 13 year's and have a family medical history on both sides that is frankly alarming given the current context.
But I find it always best to look on the bright side of life.

I guess the question everyone wants an answer to is: Do you still need a nightlight?

No, that's actually not dangerous at all. Food irradiation is a normal procedure, practiced in over 50 countries to prevent cereal from sprouting in the carton, kill germs, and myriads of other uses. 25 kilograys (1 gray= 1 joule/kilogram or one seivert for gamma radiation) is rather a high dosage, though- the maximum allowed by the FDA for commercial applications is 10 kilograys. However, the food for NASA astronauts is sterilized with 44 kilograys of gamma radiation, and they don't get cancer all of a sudden, so I'd say that you're in no danger. Might want to check with your doctor, though, just to be on the safe side.
